Friends and Neighbors: Fairy Godmothers
Recently I wrote about the Pixies of Lake City—those shy, almost invisible volunteers who make a huge impact from behind the scenes. I used “The Elves and the Shoemaker” children’s story to describe them. Today’s reference is from “Cinderella.”
The people shown above are Fairy Godmothers. Sadly, they were not prepared with their sparkly costumes, tiaras and wands when I took this photo so they look… well, ordinary. If you meet them they will appear to be like regular Lake City residents. But, like the Lake City Pixies, they have magical powers.
