Those wild and crazy Babylonians started it over 4000 years ago. Each year during a feast honoring their gods, they would pledge to repay debts and return borrowed items. Now, we make resolutions to exercise more, eat healthier, lose weight, drink less, spend less time on social media, and perhaps to also repay debts and return borrowed items!
