Letter to the editor:

I would like to express my appreciation for Deirdre Flesche’s observations and thoughts on U.S. Rep. Jason Lewis’s Wabasha town hall meeting and the negative direction our country is heading in.

I attended this town hall meeting. The main thing that confused me was that Mr. Lewis stated that he had chosen smaller venues to “encourage conversation” and that he “wanted to make certain it’s an actual dialogue when you go to a town hall.”
